Downey’s Potato Chips has expanded its relationship with Meijer, adding 39 locations in Southeast Michigan to their product lineup.
The partnership brings Downey’s store total to 350 locations, as part of Meijer’s ‘Local Endcap’ program.

To support local farmers and small businesses, the ‘Local Endcap’ program showcases locally grown and made products to Meijer customers.
The program showcases local brands with signage featuring the tagline “flavors we love made close to home,” along with the state outline. This is complemented by announcements on the store’s audio network and a dedicated collection page on Meijer.com.
Downey’s Potato Chips is a Michigan-based company making small-batch kettle-cooked chips since 1984. It takes pride in sourcing potatoes from Michigan, peeling and carving them by hand, and cooking them in small batches. Downey’s offers four flavors for customers to choose from:
- No Salt
- Original Sea Salt
- Vinegar and Sea Salt
- Barbeque
