GERBER® SOOTHE N CHEW® TEETHING STICKS – BANANA – Product Packaging

Gerber Products Company has announced a voluntary recall and discontinuation of all batches of its GERBER® SOOTHE N CHEW® TEETHING STICKS due to a potential choking hazard for babies and young children. The recall affects both the Strawberry Apple and Banana flavors of the teething sticks.

The recall was initiated after Gerber received consumer complaints of choking incidents, including one reported emergency room visit. The company is urging parents and caregivers to immediately stop using the product.

The recalled teething sticks were distributed nationwide via the Internet, retail stores, and distribution centers in the United States and Puerto Rico. Consumers who purchased the affected products are advised not to feed them to their children and to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The specific products included in the recall are:

  • GERBER® SOOTHE N CHEW® TEETHING STICKS – STRAWBERRY APPLE, Net Wt. 3.2 Oz (90g), UPC 0 15000 04618 7, all lot codes
  • GERBER® SOOTHE N CHEW® TEETHING STICKS – BANANA, Net Wt. 3.2 Oz (90g), UPC 0 15000 04608 8, all lot codes
  • GERBER® SOOTHE N CHEW® TEETHING STICKS – BANANA, Net Wt. 1.59 Oz (45g), UPC 0 15000 01015 7, all lot codes

This recall is limited to the SOOTHE N CHEW® TEETHING STICKS and does not affect any other Gerber products.

Gerber is working closely with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) on this recall and is fully cooperating with their investigation.

Parents and caregivers who are concerned about their child’s health after using the teething sticks should contact their healthcare provider. Consumers can also contact Gerber 24/7 at 1-800-4-GERBER (1-800-443-7237) for additional support or questions regarding the recall.

Gerber has apologized to parents, caregivers, and retailers for any concerns or inconvenience this recall may cause.
