The Hershey Company has acquired Sour Strips, a fast-growing sour candy brand, for an undisclosed amount.
Sour Strips was founded in 2019 by social media personality Maxx Chewning and is known for its sour candies with innovative branding.
The acquisition expands Hershey’s presence in the sour candy category and reaches new consumers for snacking occasions.

The Hershey Company has over 20,000 employees and operates in approximately 80 countries with over 90 brand names, including Hershey’s, Reese’s, and Kit Kat.
The acquisition is part of Hershey’s growth strategy in the sweets portfolio.
