Brooklyn, N.Y. – Junior’s, the iconic Brooklyn restaurant known for its “World’s Most Fabulous Cheesecake,” has just unveiled a new creation: Junior’s Deep-Fried Cheesecake.
Yes, you read that right.
How Is It Made? Junior’s takes its original New York-style cheesecake, dips it in egg whites, rolls it in pulverized corn flakes, and deep-fries it until golden brown.
Everyone’s a little fried these days. So we figured our cheesecake should be too. If this doesn’t make you smile and wolf it down—or at least take a nap—you’re doing dessert wrong.
According to Alan Rosen, Junior’s third-generation owner.
The deep-fried cheesecake is served hot with a “choose-your-own-adventure” of toppings, including:
- chocolate chips
- mini gingerbread men
- graham cracker crumbles
- rainbow sprinkles
- crushed Oreos
- whipped cream
- strawberry
- caramel and chocolate sauces
- blueberry
- cherry
- pineapple pie toppings
- crumbled Reese’s cups
- rainbow marzipan cookies
- Dutch Boy cookies
- Black-and-White cookies
