Morton Grove, IL – February 11, 2025Lifeway Foods, Inc. (NASDAQ: LWAY), a leading U.S. supplier of kefir and fermented probiotic products, is celebrating a significant return on its strategic investment in Simple Mills.

The company announced today it expects to realize a net gain of approximately $5 million from the sale of Simple Mills to Flowers Foods.

Lifeway’s early investment in Simple Mills in 2015 has proven remarkably successful. This latest gain, coupled with $1.5 million profit realized in 2019, brings Lifeway’s total return on the Simple Mills investment to an impressive $6.5 million.
