Hagerstown, Md. – Maryland Wine House, a new wine and liquor store, has opened at the Maugansville Exit on I-81, just north of Hagerstown, Maryland.
The announcement details that the official ribbon cutting for the new business is set for May 21st at 3:30pm.
Washington County Commissioners, local elected officials, and representatives from state officials are expected to attend.
The Maryland Wine House has created a significant number of new jobs and will be adding more employees moving forward. More than 40 full-time people will be employees when the project is fully operational. The new store’s management team touts the Maryland Wine House as having a very large selection of competitively priced wine, beer, and spirits.
The facility broke ground in the fall of 2024 and is located near the Burger King and the Microtel Hotel, at 13721 Oliver Drive.
According to Ben Rider, the owner of the new business, “This has been a long project in the making. We appreciate the assistance of local government and community leaders. We are also glad to stock local Maryland wines and spirits. This is the largest facility of its type in Western Maryland.”
