PORTLAND, Ore.Yoshida Foods International, known for Mr. Yoshida’s Original Gourmet Sauce, is launching a limited-time Mr. Yoshida’s Spicy Wing & Rib Barbecue Marinade and Cooking Sauce.

Back in 2024, founder and CEO Junki Yoshida purchased the brand back from Heinz Company.

This “swicy” venture marks the brand’s bold expansion, as it adds small-batch sauces and products to its growing lineup.

According to Yoshida Foods, The Spice Wing and Rib Sauce” strikes the perfect balance between fiery heat and savory sweetness, delivering a dynamic taste that offers a bold spice without overwhelming the palate.”

The barbecue marinade will be sold in 2-46oz bottles for $25 on Amazon.

This launch marks the first time the sauce has been available in the U.S., with its rich flavor profile previously exclusive to Australia and the UK.

The brand plans to launch more innovative flavors and expand its product offerings even further. Recently, the brand collaborated with Cloud City Ice Cream, resulting in Grilled Pineapple Ice Cream with Caramelized Teriyaki Drizzle, which sold out within 24 hours.

Junki Yoshida said, “We’re thrilled to finally bring our Spicy Wing & Rib Marinade to U.S. customers,” and that this is just the beginning.

For those seeking Mr. Yoshida’s Original Gourmet Sauce, major retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, and Costco all carry the product, making the product visible in over 10,000 grocery stores.

Yoshida Foods International was founded in 1982 by Junki Yoshida, who transformed an old family recipe for teriyaki sauce into a versatile, ready-to-use sauce with a classic sweet teriyaki taste and bold flavor, Mr. Yoshida’s Original Gourmet Sauce. The sauce is distributed internationally across seven countries and is available at select grocery stores on both the West and East Coasts, as well as major retailers in the U.S., including Amazon, Costco, Walmart, Safeway, Publix, and more. Yoshida Foods is based out of Portland, Oregon, and currently has 60 employees.
