LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Avalon Spirits is launching Whiskey Row Bourbon, a new brand inspired by Louisville’s historic Whiskey Row and the ingenuity that shaped bourbon history.
Aiming to revive pre-Prohibition aging and blending techniques, Whiskey Row Bourbon is launching with Triple Wood, Bottled in Bond, and Cask Strength expressions.
From 1850 through Prohibition, Louisville’s Main Street became known as Whiskey Row. It was a blending and a trading hub.

Made at Kentucky Artisan Distillery (KAD) in Crestwood, Kentucky, Whiskey Row Bourbon is a return to pre-Prohibition blending methods by blending it for its flavor profiles. Whiskey Row Bourbon will embrace the craftsmanship. Avalon Spirits is bringing this mindset and this legacy that Thompson left.
Expressions:
- Triple Wood, 4+ years of maturing completed with Cognac and PX sherry
- Bottled in Bond
- Cask Strength
Founder of Avalon Spirits, John Glover stated, “shaped by agriculture, entrepreneurship, and exchange of ideas that established bourbon as the quintessential American spirit,”.
Whiskey Row Bourbon challenges the perception that premium bourbon must come from Kentucky.
Whiskey Row Bourbon is now available in Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, and Tennessee! Europe coming!

Whiskey Row Bourbon is part of Avalon Spirits’ portfolio, which holds the historic site where the modern bourbon industry was created.
The late Steve Thompson is making himself known through this project.
